Last night, a powerful wave swept through social media. After Donald Trump publicly supported regime change in Iran, the hashtag #MIGA — Make Iran Great Again began trending, drawing voices from across the political spectrum. Some who’ve never supported Reza Pahlavi were still using the same hashtag, united in one thing: the desire for the fall of the Islamic Republic.
And yet, instead of celebrating this collective energy, some began attacking those they disagree with politically. This is not the time for infighting. This is not the time to divide the opposition. What we need now, more than ever, is flexibility, kindness, and a shared commitment to unity.
Iran is a richly diverse country — ethnically, politically, culturally. It is only natural, even healthy, that we have different views about the future. But as long as we stand together for a free, sovereign, and democratic Iran, we must embrace each other as allies, not adversaries.
Yes, we all know the MEK has no popular support inside Iran, and yes, some separatist Kurdish voices do not reflect the will of the majority. But the battlefield today is not over who leads the future — it’s about whether we even get the chance to choose that future.
We must not allow ourselves to be distracted by arguments that weaken the movement. Once the regime is gone, we will vote. We will debate. We will build. But today, we must stand shoulder to shoulder with anyone — anyone — who is sincerely working to bring this regime down.
Victory will not come through purity tests. It will come through unity in diversity.
