A Persian Courtyard is a tactile memory—an abstracted reconstruction of the spaces I grew up in. The felted textures and sewn ceramic pendants recall the intimacy of our family courtyard, where trees grew from tiny open plots within a field of hand-laid tiles. The vibrant blue lines evoke the stillness of water in traditional pools, while the triangular forms represent the wooden takht—raised beds where we rested on long summer afternoons. These beds, adorned with carved railings, offered comfort and a sense of quiet beauty. Through layering wool, stitching, and ceramic, I piece together fragments of a personal architectural language—one shaped by warmth, ornament, and the rhythm of everyday life in a Persian home.
