“Embedded Echo” is a tactile, mixed-media collage that explores the fusion of material memory and surface texture. A ceramic pendant and leather strap—originally part of a necklace—are embedded between layers of soft, white felted wool, their identity partially obscured yet still radiating presence. The work plays with contrast: smooth ceramic against fibrous wool, rigid lines stitched into irregular softness, and warm earthy tones interwoven with stark black and white. Hand-stitching traces movement and form across the surface, suggesting mapping, mending, or excavation. This piece serves as a study in integration—of materials, histories, and tactile expression—where jewelry meets textile in a suspended conversation.
