“Mountain Bloom” is a felted meditation on the awakening of land and memory. In hues of white, blue, rust, and earth-brown, the piece traces the fleeting beauty of wildflowers blooming in the rugged embrace of the Zagros Mountains near Persepolis. The central motif, once a flower, now lingers as a softened echo—petal-like, spectral, suspended in wool as if caught between earth and sky.
This is not a flower as it was, but as it is remembered—pressed into the folds of felt like a dream of spring. The stitched textures evoke mountain paths and weather-worn stone, while the colours carry the warmth of soil and the cool breath of dawn. Mountain Bloom offers a quiet homage to a homeland landscape—harsh, ancient, and tender in its seasonal blossoming.
