Sanctum in Threads

In this felted work, geometry becomes sanctuary. Bold colors echo ancient symbols, while soft textures hold a quiet strength. This is not mere decoration — it is a layered map of memory, protection, and belonging.

In this felt collage, I return to geometry not as a formal exercise, but as a vessel of memory and meaning. The interlocking forms—square within diamond within circle—echo ancient motifs found in sacred architecture, woven carpets, and celestial maps. Each shape guards a center, a still point where silence resides.

The palette is unapologetically bold: the ultramarine of infinite sky, the yellow of ancestral sun, the crimson of rituals and resistance. These colors, felted by hand, do not merely decorate—they proclaim. They speak of protection, order, and the yearning for spiritual alignment in a disordered world.

At the heart of the composition lies a golden square, framed again and again, as if to say: sanctuary is never singular, but built through layers—of memory, of tradition, of hope.

This is not ornament.

This is a geometry of refuge,

where color guards memory,

and wool carries the weight of longing.
