My Everyday Eden is a one-of-a-kind sculptural felt purse inspired by the idea of carrying a private garden of memory through everyday life. The piece brings together hand-felted wool, visible embroidery, patchwork construction, and soft architectural form to create an object that exists between textile art and wearable sculpture.
The purse is built from layered felt panels in shades of dusty rose, deep indigo, soft ivory, and vivid turquoise blue. Hand stitching travels visibly across the surface like traces of memory, connecting fragments together in an intuitive and organic rhythm. The embroidered details resemble blossoms, seeds, herbs, and small flowering forms scattered across a dreamlike landscape.
Its elongated, softly pointed silhouette was shaped intentionally to feel alive and slightly irregular, resisting industrial perfection and preserving the presence of the human hand. The antique-style kiss-lock clasp and decorative metal handle create a contrast between softness and structure, giving the piece the character of a treasured object or small textile relic.
The interior lining was carefully hand-cut, sewn, and fitted over many hours. A delicate floral fabric was chosen to continue the feeling of an inner hidden garden, visible only when the purse opens. Between the outer felt body and the lining, soft foam and stabilising layers were added to strengthen the structure while maintaining the tactile softness of the wool. This hidden construction allows the purse to hold its sculptural form without losing its warmth and material intimacy.
Loose wool fibres remain intentionally visible on the surface, creating a soft atmospheric texture similar to mist, faded memory, or drifting plant fibres. Every stitch, fold, and irregularity records the slow process of making.
Rather than functioning only as an accessory, My Everyday Eden acts as a portable landscape of emotion and remembrance, a small sanctuary designed to hold beauty, tenderness, and everyday rituals close to the body.
